If you imply that a winter without hockey is like hell, I agree.

Just a month from training camp, and the hard questions haven't had to be answered. Does Scott Gomez need to be dealt with before a new CBA is in place?

Did you meant dealt or dealt with?

Because any sort of deal with another team is impossible. Gomez has a partial NTC.

I think he will come at camp and they will give him enough rope to hang himself with (french expression, I don't know if that translates well into english). He will be sent down to Hamilton.

Bergevin seems like the kind of guy with the stones to send him down.

1) Just a month from training camp, and the hard questions haven't had to be answered. Does Scott Gomez need to be dealt with before a new CBA is in place?

Could the Canadiens even be considering having Gomez at training camp?

Gomez will be bought out once the new CBA is signed, he won't count against the cap.

2) What are reasonable expectations for Brian Gionta this season? Can he rebound from this brutal injury and put up his best season as a Canadien?

20 goals if he can stay healthy

4) If Cole took a step back to where his career average is (around 25 goals) would anyone really be disappointed? I'd be happy with 25G

8) Gomez is one problem. Kaberle is the other. What are the Canadiens going to do with him? They will keep him another year then either trade him or buy him out next year.

9) If you had to pick a kid off the farm that you believe is ready to make the jump, who is it? Gallagher will be forcing Therrien's hand IMO

I'd wait to see how his attitude and maturity evolve in the next 2 years before going long term with Subban

As much as I hate Gomez, the expectations are so low for him right now, that he can't do nothing but surpass them

As for Subban, I can understand why he would want a deal similar to Pacioretty's and Price's, even though those two guys had a previous 2 year deal before their big payday.

Subban has already proved he belongs at the VERY LEAST in the top 4 defensemen. When they got their 2 year deals, Pacioretty was a call-up and Price had took the goaltender role by default with the Halak deal.

Finally, Kaberle as bad as he is in his zone, can't hurt much as a 6-7th d, with the 2nd powerplay QB role.

That's not saying I wouldn't get rid of him and Gomez if it's a possibility, but the team don't really need the cap space, so if there's a role to be found for them, as small as it could be, no point in buying them out.
